Donated by his widow, Nancy, and since augmented by additional gifts, it honors a man who founded the city’s first radio station, WJLS; owned and operated Biggs-Johnston-Withrow and Royal Oak Press; served as President of the WV Broadcasters Assoc.; and was a board member of Beckley National Bank.
