Goal
Jobs for Life is a national program that has been impacting the lives of the unemployed and underemployed since 1996 - "creating pathways to meaningful work and entrepreneurial opportunities through community engagement".
Our Fall 2020 classes have been postponed until Winter/Spring 2020. We appreciate those who gave towards the Fall 2020 classes and these funds will be used for the 2021 classes.
Join us this year as we equip two new sites to host a Jobs for Life class! We are working with The Hill Church and other neighborhood churches to host a class in Northwest Roanoke. We are also working with the Buchanan Area Ministerial Association (BAMA) to host a class in N. Botetourt County at Buchanan Baptist Church.
Between the two classes we hope to see 15-20 participants equipped to find and keep meaningful work as they learn about God's design for work, tackle some of the roadblocks they may face, and acquire soft skills for finding and keeping work.
You can help these classes in multiple ways:
- Serve as a champion for a student, coming alongside him/her at each class and beyond
- A gift of $50 sponsors a participant and covers the cost of supplies for the participant and the champion
- A gift of $150 provides a meal for one of the classes. Each class begins with a meal to build strong relationships. Your gift will provide prepackaged meals for a class of 15-20, helping to follow safe health guidelines so that we can continue this important part of the class.
Give today and help to change a life!
