This fund honors Joanne’s unwavering belief in the positive impact of swimming on young lives. Whether she was managing concession stands, organizing fundraisers, or simply cheering from the stands, Joanne’s presence lifted everyone around her. She selflessly committed two decades to nurturing her children’s and community’s athletic dreams—from supporting her sons and daughter in swimming to cheering her son Don on the football field. Even after her children graduated, she continued to show up, believing in the magic and transformative power of youth sports.

The Joanne Young Memorial Scholarship Fund supports young swimmers and their families, removing financial barriers so that every child can experience the joy, discipline, and opportunities swimming offers.
