Maya's Hope: Formula, diapers, etc for 4 year old who has TB Meningitis

Jhon is 4 years old and lives in the Philippines. He acquired TB Meningitis in February 2021.

TB that occurs in the tissue surrounding the brain or spinal cord is called tuberculous meningitis. Symptoms include headache, decreased level of consciousness, and neck stiffness. The duration of illness before diagnosis is variable and relates in part to the presence or absence of other sites of involvement.*

He lives in a home with 8 people and there's one breadwinner, who is the sister of his mom. She is a service crew member.

His mom wrote: "Due to our tough situation, especially when it comes financially. My son loses weight which turns into a bad condition. We even can not afford a single box of his formula, which is the pediasure because it was expensive. But because God gave my son hope, we are looking for his fast recovery. And you, Maya's Hope, will be part of it. Please keep providing for his needs, like pediasure, diapers, distilled water, wipes, and medicines."

Can you help Jhon with his needs today?

Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.

Maya’s Hope helps disadvantaged children living in poverty and helps provide hope by instilling value and purpose in each child. We are celebrating 10 years of bringing hope to children around the world.
