Jessica Skinner for Judge
I'm JESSICA SKINNER, and I'm running for County Court at Law Judge here in Tom Green County. This Court handles probate matters, guardianships, criminal misdemeanors, civil cases, and the legislature is expected to add family law cases.
I'm a Republican mother of 3 school-aged children, a respected local attorney, and board certified in family law. The key to the next judge managing this Court's case load is my broad experience in civil and criminal law--high net worth divorce cases with complex financial issues, cases involving individuals with disabilities or mental health issues, protective orders to safeguard parents and children, and criminal cases with a focus on finding fair outcomes that balance accountability and community protection with real solutions to help prevent future criminal acts. In managing a full and successful private practice where I represent real people day in and day out, I have the work ethic and the knowledge to handle the high volume docket of this Court while protecting the vulnerable and handling complex financial matters. As a conservative, I'm running to serve Tom Green County with integrity and common sense that safeguards our constitutional freedoms and upholds the values of this community.
Thank you for supporting Jessica Skinner’s campaign!

The maximum donation per election cycle is $1000 per person or entity. An entity can be a political action committee, a law firm entity, etc., but donations cannot be accepted directly from labor unions or traditional corporate entities (political action committees of labor unions and corporations can donate). The prohibition on donations from corporate entities does not apply to common law firm entities such as LLP, LLC, PLLC, PC and the like, as long as no member of the entity is a traditional corporation. A law firm entity and its members may donate up to a maximum total of $6,000 per election cycle, as long as each portion of the aggregate donation is no more than $1000. For purposes of donation limits, a primary, any resulting primary runoff, and the general election are all treated as elections, and the donation limits are reset for each.

I have known Jessica for many years and several years ago assisted her in the trial of a high profile murder. I know her to be highly skilled, compassionate, fair, and diligent, all of which make her highly qualified to be our next county court at law judge.
