Goal
Jack, known as Strides, and Nick, known as Shuffle, are two passionate young men dedicated to helping others and pushing their own limits. During the pandemic, while residing in Bali, they not only raised funds for hundreds of thousands of meals but also actively worked in the field of mental health. They established a run, walk, and talk club centered around the question, "Are you okay today?" with an emphasis on providing an honest answer. Their community thrived, and together they realized they wanted to make a more significant impact and give back to their home island of Bali. Thus, they created the registered foundation called "Shuffle and Strides."
Donate now to support the introduction of mental health training courses in Indonesia!
Last year's Lapathon organized by Shuffle and Strides brought the first-ever mental health training course to Indonesia. Through this course, over a hundred individuals have been trained, creating awareness for thousands of people. This initiative will continue to grow and change the way thousand, if not millions of people in Indonesia view mental health!
In Indonesia, mental health is generally viewed as taboo or a sign of weakness, resulting in millions of residents not openly discussing their mental conditions or symptoms. Combined with a lack of available resources, individuals suffering from mental health issues are more likely to isolate themselves or live with chronic conditions for extended periods, Shuffle and Strides are out to change this!
If you are reading this, your friend, family member, colleague or acquaintance is going to be giving their all in the 24 hour Lapathon to make a difference for mental health! You can help make a difference!
Support Jess Tito in Breaking the Stigma and Aiding in mental health in Indonesia:
From Jess Tito
I have recently separated and now going through a divorce, going through court, feeling anxious, scared and on edge.
My x was controlling and emotionally manipulative. From being a person that never felt that way, I was always happy, positive and bubbly to some times feeling that I just wanted to crawl up into a hole and disappear.
Mental health is so important, to have the freedom to talk to someone when in need of help and to not be ashamed to talk out loud and voice how you feel. This cause is very dear to my heart and I’m so excited to help raise money for it.
Join Shuffle and Strides and Jess Tito in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health!
Most foundations and institutions focusing on mental health worldwide are designed to address crisis situations. Shuffle and Strides, however, aims to prevent such crises through a philosophy based on human-to-human connection and promoting positive lifestyle choices. Professional intervention is provided when necessary.
Donate now to save lives!
This Lapathon will break down the stigma surrounding mental health and bring the topic to the dinner table. Please do your part to support mental health services in Indonesia and help destigmatize this important subject.
I join this event because i support and believe in what shuffle & strides is striving which is creating awareness about mental health.
I want to spread the message about mental health awareness to everyone around me. So that more people are aware of it and there are no more misconception about mental health.
