Jeremy Smith for Collierville School Board


Jeremy Smith is a dedicated educator with 27 years of experience in the field of education. He is running for Collierville School Board in the upcoming election on November 5th, 2024. With a child actively in the Collierville School System and two graduates, Jeremy brings both professional and personal insights to his candidacy.


Over the past 27 years, Jeremy has served as a middle school teacher for 10 years and a high school counselor for the past 17 years. He holds professional licensure for English (7-12), School Counseling (PreK-12), and School Administration (PreK-12). Additionally, he has been a competitive head basketball coach at both the middle and high school levels.


Public education is a cornerstone in Jeremy’s family. His mother taught at Collierville Elementary and Collierville Middle Schools for nearly 30 years and coached basketball at the middle school level. His wife Amy is a special education teacher at West Collierville Middle School, and previously taught at Tara Oaks Elementary School for 10 years. All three of their children have attended Collierville Schools since Kindergarten.


Jeremy has deep roots in Collierville, having been a resident since 1971 and a graduate of Collierville High School in 1989. He serves as Vice President of the Collierville High School Alumni Association (CHSAA) Board of Directors and has been a lifelong member of Collierville First Baptist Church. His commitment to fostering relationships with people of all ethnicities, ages, beliefs, and backgrounds is unwavering.


Jeremy's extensive experience in public education and his dedication to Collierville Schools make him a valuable candidate for the school board. He is committed to serving the community with strong servant leadership skills and a deep connection to the local area. Jeremy Smith would be humbled and honored to have your vote on November 5th for Collierville School Board.
