Hi! I'm Jen Buckley, current Trustee for Plymouth Township and Founder/Chairwoman of the Plymouth Township Veterans Commission. The community knows me as an innovator and leader with an unwavering loyalty to Faith, Family, and Freedom.

I'm an Air Force Veteran and Gold Star Widow who has navigated life's toughest problems using grace and grit in conjunction with an active fitness lifestyle.  After enduring the loss of my first husband in the Iraqi War and giving birth to our third child 2 days later, I trained with my newborn and raced in the West Point Triathlon 4 months after that fateful knock on the door.  I went on to race year after year and eventually rallied other Gold Star Widows in Washington D.C.'s Army 10-miler. My leadership was featured in Fitness Magazine and made the launch cover story for the Archdiocese of Detroit’s, Unleash the Gospel Magazine. These experiences contributed to my founding and leading my small business as a Fitness Coach.

I'm remarried to a former Marine who is also a Sergeant for the Royal Oak Police Dept. We have 8 children. I pride myself as a Marine Mom, home educator, and US History Teacher.

In my inaugural year as Chairwoman of the Veterans Commission, I successfully organized and implemented a sporting event to rally support and recognition for our military and first responders.

I am a passionate advocate for the well-being of our community in Plymouth Township.  I believe that begins with families.  Keeping our neighborhoods safe with well-taken care of first responders allows its citizens to thrive and that in turn allows them to create and grow their businesses with confidence. Innovation and development is also the bulwark to a thriving economy and is exemplified in having the lowest taxes in Wayne County.  The sum of all these ingredients solicits those great families to settle in our great community in a circle of positive progress.

Local politicians like myself are key to keeping the doors open for our community to thrive.  We have built a community in Plymouth Township known as the best place to live in Southeast Michigan. Let's keep up the great work!  I would appreciate your vote in the 2024 election!  Thank you for your time and donation!
