Jazz's skin condition & spay surgeries

Jazz is in need of some help!

Jazz’s guardian originally reached out to us expressing concern about Jazz’s skin condition which wasn’t responding to prior attempts at eliminating allergens.  We set up a community wishlist with some of our tried and true supplies, but Jazz’s skin is still uncomfortable and so we are moving forward with assisting her guardian by identifying an affordable vet appointment to have her skin analyzed and see if there’s an infection there in addition to the allergies.  One of our volunteers dropped off sensitive skin food last week and two other volunteers identified PetVacX as a good low-cost provider for a skin scrape and cytology as well as possible treatment. 

PetVacX completed a skin cytology on Oct 22nd and identified that she was suffering from fleas, a bacterial infection and allergies.  The total of Jazz's exam and medications necessary to clear all of her skin conditions was $408.36.

 We received an additional quote of $245 for a nearby low-cost spay surgery that can be scheduled once Jazz’s skin has been treated and any possible infection has been cleared.

We anticipate that her follow up appointment, refill of medications and updated vaccinations as well as monthly prevention will be approximately $450.

If you are able to contribute toward the cost of Jazz’s exam for her skin, that would be so helpful.  Jazz’s guardian has lost her job and has been putting off any vet visits because of the expense, but Jazz’s skin is only getting worse.
