James P. Reddy, Jr. for Judge
I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of James P. Reddy, Sr. and Barbara O’Malley. My father was a Cleveland firefighter and also a member of the Asbestos Workers, Local 3. I attended St. Ignatius Elementary and St. Ignatius High School.
I worked as a law clerk with the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court while attending Cleveland Marshall College of Law. It was there that I began almost FORTY years of helping people through very difficult and challenging divorces. I developed the court’s first child support guidelines which preceded those used today. I also provided the court with an interest formula for use when determining arrearages in child support and spousal support.
I have taught classes at Cleveland Marshall College of Law and presented lectures at various continuing legal education seminars for bar associations and professional education associations.
After years of experience in representing divorcing clients, whether settling, reconciling, or going to trial, I passionately desire to sit as judge in the very court I have honed my skills.
