Goal

My story with the Medway Village Food Pantry started over 11 years ago when my youngest son at 8 years old decided he did not need toys for his birthday and wanted to collect food and donate it to our local food pantry. His birthday came and we collected a lot of food and off to the pantry he went. We met the director of the food pantry and asked if there was anything else we could do. She asked us to help restock on Saturdays and we have been volunteering our time and talent since then. When we started volunteering on distribution day, 35 families was an overload; today the food pantry serves over 100 families every week. We have watched it grow and are excited to be involved in something that can truly help people.

The Medway Village Food Pantry has experienced exponential growth over the last several years.  In FY24, we had 26,182 client visits, up 31% from FY23.

We are run 100% by volunteers, so with the exception of a few, small operating expenses, all of the funds raised will be used to purchase food, diapers, and personal care items to keep up with the demand.

Take a look at what we accomplished in FY24!
