Islington Giving Crisis Fund
Please give to support the most vulnerable people in Islington during the Covid-19 outbreak
At this tough time, we are all looking for the best way to support those we love, and the people most in need around us. It’s encouraging to see so much great community action already emerging. But the most vulnerable people in our community will suffer the greatest hardship, and we are doing all we can to help Islington’s charity groups and organisations who work with them directly.
If you would like to help support vulnerable people locally, please give.
Money from this fund will go straight back out to organisations we know and trust, working in the community with residents who are isolated, anxious and in most need of financial support through this crisis.
Some of the fund money will go directly to residents in need of food or help with fuel bills via the London Borough of Islington’s Residents Support Scheme, as well as through our other trusted partners.
To make sure groups can access this money quickly and easily we are using the London Communities Response Fund portal in order to assess and process grants.
Just one of these partners is Help On Your Doorstep, working tirelessly with isolated local people.
If any money remains in the fund at the end of the Covid-19 outbreak, it will continue to be spent helping isolated people and those who suffer most from poverty in the borough.
Islington Giving has been working in Islington for ten years, giving funds and working with over 70 local organisations. We share knowledge, make sure money is well spent and work with the community to relieve the effects of poverty and inequality.
