Invest in the Mission – Your Impact Continues

Your support helps early-career researchers strengthen public health through grants, mentorship, training, and real-time disease intelligence shared across ISID’s global network.

Through programs such as the Program for Monitoring Emerging Diseases (ProMED), ISID's global disease surveillance network connects 14,962 users across 10 regional and topic based networks, sharing more than 8,400 expert-moderated reports each year on emerging infectious disease threats.

A gift of $50 can empower an early-career public health professional in a low- or middle-income country with ProMED access, critical travel support to attend the International Congress on Infectious Diseases (ICID) 2026 in Madrid—a global congress expected to bring together over 2,500 professionals from more than 100 countries—or participation in ISID’s Research Capacity Building Grants.

ISID also advances global knowledge through its scientific journals, which includes the International Journal of Infectious Diseases (IJID) and its companion journals, which together generate millions of article views and downloads each year, helping translate research into practice.

Your contribution today helps build the next generation of global health leaders and ensures that infectious disease experts worldwide have access to the knowledge, networks, and tools they need to respond to emerging threats.

The mission of the International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID) is to empower clinical health experts and allied professionals to prevent, investigate, and manage infectious diseases within a One Health context. The ISID is committed to equity, prioritizing support for countries and regions with limited resources and disproportionately high infectious disease burdens.
