Support Our Mission to Cultivate Change!
Dear friends and family,
Seven years ago, driven by an ambitious dream, we created an organic farm, regenerating poor soil through an agroforestry system. This journey has been filled with many challenges and moments of hardship, but each obstacle has enriched our path. It has been marked by beautiful encounters, incredible stories, and, above all, immense learning. Today, with our hearts full of hope, we want to share a new chapter of this adventure: the Instituto La Reserva!
The world is calling for a regenerative revolution. We are facing an environmental crisis of alarming magnitude that can no longer be ignored. It’s time to sow agroecology! The Instituto La Reserva is a non-profit initiative born from our love for sustainable agriculture and our desire to promote environmental education and community health. Our team, composed of passionate professionals, seeks to sow and share knowledge. Our great desire: to build a more prosperous future for all.
With the "Seed by Seed" project, we aim to combat food insecurity, promote cultural renewal and seed exchange, and implement actions and social projects that cultivate real change, improving access to healthy food.
To achieve this, we have developed the following lines of action:
- Reforestation with Seedling Production: Our seedlings are used in reforestation projects, focusing on environmental restoration in the Delta do Parnaíba region. We are already sowing in partnership with a local NGO, Filha do Sol.
- Bee Conservation with the Colmeia Nova Project: In partnership with Beemel, we work to protect bees, which are essential for pollination and biodiversity maintenance.
- Promotion of Agroecological and Permaculture Practices: We share knowledge about sustainable and regenerative farming techniques, contributing to soil health and high-quality food production.
- Education Through Experiences and Schools: We believe in the power of education, so we offer courses, workshops, and practical activities for children and adults, encouraging a connection with nature and building a more sustainable future.
At the forefront of Instituto La Reserva, our dedicated team on this mission includes:
- Hervé Witmeur, President: A chef passionate about agroecology.
- Luiz Navarro, Vice President: Believes in transforming the planet through local actions based on basic education.
- Vivi Grutzma, Permaculturist and Educator: Focuses her efforts on developing sustainable communities through ecopedagogy activities for all.
- Marie Stas, Educator & Naturopath: Believes in the importance of raising children's awareness about healthy eating and agroecology.
- Igor Medeiros, Agroforester: Passionate about agriculture in harmony with nature, spreading productive forests wherever he goes.
"Starting this new phase of Instituto La Reserva is vital for us to realize all our projects and to provide quality education to the communities. We are committed to transforming La Reserva into a center of excellence in sustainable agriculture and environmental education. The participation and support of each one of you will be essential to achieve this goal and create a positive and lasting impact."
We will soon have more news and information about the activities we are organizing. We invite you to learn about Instituto La Reserva and to join us in this movement!
Thank you for your constant support and care!
With love and hope,
The team at Instituto La Reserva
