Dear Friends and Community Members,

At DYPT, we believe that investing in an individual's potential is the most critical commitment a community can make. This month, we are proud to stand alongside Insight Colearning Center, a pioneering small, independent high school dedicated to preparing students to make a difference in a rapidly changing world.

The national educational landscape shows us that change is urgently needed. Academic performance continues to decline, and many students feel disengaged or unseen in conventional settings. Insight is providing a powerful answer to this crisis by helping students rediscover their love of learning and deeply explore who they are and who they want to become—personally, academically, socially, and creatively.

Insight’s success lies in its commitment to a human-scale education where excellence and belonging are inseparable. Their model provides a rigorous, college-style experience appropriate for teens, focusing on the factors necessary for true growth:

• Deep Relationships: Insight ensures that every student is truly known, challenged, and inspired.  “Every kid needs someone, and 1 person is enough, who cares about them with every fiber of their being, someone who loves them to bits”. Insight is built on creating these deep mentoring bonds.

• Relevance and Rigor: Instructors who are experts in their field (scientists teaching science, historians teaching history) guide students to apply the tools and frameworks of each discipline in authentic ways, emphasizing problem-solving and deep dialogue.

• Mastery over Measurement: Instead of focusing on competition for GPA and class rank, Insight prioritizes learning for understanding, with mastery replacing seat time.
