Dear INS Supporter,
30th Year Appeal – please make a gift to INS
As we enter the New Year, everyone at INS would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful supporters for your commitment to INS, as we celebrate our 30th year of working in Hounslow and Richmond. Thanks to the generosity of the INS community, we have been able to continue providing individual and group therapy, exercise, activity and counselling sessions, to over 760 people with neurological conditions and their carers.
“I really appreciate the help I've been getting after my stroke. INS support their patients physically and mentally, the team are caring and understanding. It's like being in a family.”
The wonderful feedback we receive from people who use our services, shows what a difference this ongoing, professional support can make to their physical and emotional health and wellbeing, helping them stay more mobile, independent and less isolated. Next year, our priority is to continue providing the level of support which people need, where they need it, whether at INS, home, online, or at our satellites in Barnes, Brentford and Feltham.
“Being part of INS makes me feel that there is support for me, which makes a huge difference in my ability to cope, and I don’t feel so isolated.”
However, the impact of helping over 30% more people with much-needed rehabilitation, together with rising costs and funding challenges, means we must raise another £30,000 this year, if we want to continue the same level of support.
As a small, local charity, we rely on donations to maintain the high level of services offered by our professional staff, as we receive no NHS funding. All individual services, including therapy and counselling sessions, as well as social and creative activities, are free of charge.
This year, if you are able, please donate so we can help more people:
• £20 could help run an activity session, such as creative writing or crafts, to build people’s confidence and meet others in a supported environment.
• £50 could support a vital one-to-one rehabilitation session with an INS therapist to help someone manage their symptoms and improve mobility or speech.
• £100 could support a block of individual counselling sessions to help people with neurological conditions or their family carers talk through the challenges they face.
Whatever you can give, your kind gift means that more people can have the support they need to live as well as possible with their condition.
With our thanks and best wishes,
Sarah Vines
