Goal

Hi, my name is Richelle, and this year marks 40 years of living with Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s is an invisible illness, but its impact on my life—and on the lives of millions of others—is undeniable. Living with Crohn’s often means constant pain, exhaustion, and uncertainty. I never know when a “good day” might suddenly turn into a difficult one.

Over the years, that uncertainty has meant missing school, activities, work, and moments others often take for granted. Managing this disease requires lifelong treatment, frequent doctor visits, and more strength than I ever imagined—both physically and emotionally.

Even though Crohn’s isn’t always visible, the challenges are present every single day. Still, people living with this disease continue to show incredible resilience, determination, and strength—even when the struggle goes unseen.

That’s why I’m proud to support the mission of Color of Gastrointestinal Illnesses (COGI), which works to improve the quality of life for BIPOC individuals affected by IBD, digestive disorders, and chronic illnesses through community, research, education, and advocacy. As an ambassador for COGI, I’m raising awareness and funds to help turn compassion into real action.

This fundraiser is about hope. It’s about supporting vital research, increasing awareness, and standing beside those of us who live with Crohn’s disease every single day. Every donation, no matter the size—helps bring us closer to better treatments, more answers, and a future with less pain.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting this cause. Your generosity truly makes a difference.
