Goal
Indy Kit VI
ayeMail is a not-for-profit dedicated to Scottish independence. Established in 2016, we have printed and distributed millions of leaflets, stickers, badges, t-shirts, mugs and tens of thousands of flags to pro-independence groups all over Scotland. We're asking for donations to help us produce another 100 Indy Kits (our sixth Kit to date) packed with campaign materials and merchandise for Yes groups.
We understand that this is a difficult time for many people as we continue to deal with the fallout from COVID and Brexit. However, we have to look to the future and preparing a grassroots ground campaign for next year, and that means doing the production work (design, printing and packaging) and the delivery to Yes groups this year.
We plan for the Kits to include:
5,000+ Yes flags. At the heart of each Kit is a bundle of Yes flags for pro-indy groups to sell online or at events such as marches. We recommend a sell price of around £5 each which helps groups to raise funds for their own campaign materials and activities. The number of flags in each Kit will depend on the total raised, but we hope for a minimum of 50 flags per Kit.
100,000 leaflets: We get hammered with "Scotland is too poor" propaganda every single day, and yet when we started to dig into the details we discovered very quickly that this simply isn't true. The "too poor" narrative is one the British state has used many, many times with former colonies that wanted to leave its grasp, and it has been deployed very effectively against Scots for hundreds of years. We're going to shred this propaganda with three core themes: The Economy; Scottish Currency, and Pensions. Each leaflet will be a deep-dive into the facts, impeccably researched and sourced, explaining how the unionist "argument" is just plain lies, and how things work in the real world citing other countries as clear examples.
5,000 new Yes car window stickers: The new Yes logo printed on 110mm low-tack vinyl for fixing on the inside of any window – commonly used on car wind shields. We want to provide 500 of these stickers into each Kit which Yes groups can sell for e.g. £1 each to activists and Yes supporters, thereby raising money for each group’s own activities!
Our total target – allowing for fundraising and card payment fees of up to 7% - is £15,000.
