Indigenous Katang, Tang Wai of Laos

The World Nose Me, creative advocacy, is seeking grants, monetary and in-kind donations, collaborative partnerships, board and advisory committee, and scholarships for the development, empowerment, and visual and audio documentary storytelling of:  1) Indigenous Katang People of Laos, saving their identity and language from extinction and
providing dignity and humanity to a discriminated and underrepresented ethnic community.
2) Southeast Asian Girls & Women in the World, centering leadership development and gender justice.

The Katang Bru (ກຣະຕ່າງ ບຣູ) from Tang Wai Village (ບ້ານຕັ່ງຫວາຍລໍາທວາຍ), Xonabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Laos are part of the Mon Khmer branch of Southeast Asia.  Written language and literature do not exist.  Furthermore, Katang people have been historically discriminated and dehumanized. Presently, inequity still persists. Therefore, The World Nose Me is dedicated to the empowerment and the storytelling of her own people.

Specifically, donated funds will go towards:

*Travel expenses to indigenous Katang, Tang Wai Village of Laos.  *Equipment for visual and written documentation.  *Research, collaboration, and capacity building.  *Economic empowerment and development of indigenous Katang members and community.  Heartfelt gratitude for supporting my project!❤️
