Established in 1985 as part of the Kansas Main Street program, Independence Main Street has continuously demonstrated its commitment to creating a thriving downtown environment that fosters sustainable economic and cultural growth. Through a shared love for downtown living, working, and socializing, the organization unites the community in efforts to enhance the overall quality of life for residents and visitors.
