In Memory of Dennis Beverly
John Dennis Beverly, 65, passed away on January 26, 2022 in Humble, Texas. Dennis was born on December 4, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to John R. Beverly and Rhonda Vance Beverly Thorson. He was a 1975 graduate of Bryan High School and received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University in 1979. Dennis worked for many years in Houston and San Antonio in banking, commercial real estate development, and the services industry. He married his high school sweetheart, Rebecca (Becky) Lynn Reed on May 12, 1979, and they raised two sons, Rusty and Patrick.
Dennis loved sports and all things Texas A&M. He played football, baseball, and basketball in high school, and was an avid golfer, including a multi-time Club Champion at Atascocita Country Club. He was a wonderful coach and loved sharing his love of sports with his sons and their friends, coaching in the sports - football, baseball, basketball, and golf. Throughout his life, he loved spending time at the Beverly family lake house in Gladewater, Texas, and enjoyed getting together and spending time with his family and lifelong friends.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Rusty (Wife - Crystal) and Patrick (Wife - Kirby), two grandsons, Dillon and Vance, mother (Husband - Don), brother David (Wife - Ashley), stepmother Marsha and her children Danny and JoAnn, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father (John R.), grandfather (John Dick Beverly), grandmother (Neva Beverly), grandmother (Alice Vance), mother in law (Wanda Reed Batton), brother and sister in law (Perry and Doris Brown) and nephew (Chip Brown Seymore).
