Goal

Many combat‑disabled veterans are in need of professional service‑dog training. Our In‑House program brings expert trainers, veterinary care, and structured task training directly into residential settings so veterans receive fully trained service dogs tailored to PTSD, mobility support, and complex medical needs. Training typically ranges from 6 months to 1+ years, and some dogs receive extended training (up to 2 years) for advanced tasking. Your donation funds dog care, veterinary services, trainer time, and specialized task training so each veteran receives a life‑changing partner.

“I had a grenade go off…took my hand off instantly. Gangrene in the leg. When I drop stuff, Service dog Eli picks it up for me. WDFV brought me to a place in my life that I never knew could have existed.”
