IMA Commissioners Circle

Your Impact

IMA Commissioners Circle is a passionate group of philanthropic patrons who commission new works annually by mid-career and leading Australian artists. The Commissioner’s Circle enables artists to create some of their most ambitious artwork to date. Projects go on to tour nationally and display internationally, leading to subsequent significant exhibition opportunities.

In 2026, the Commissioners Circle supported the commission Mandy Quadrio: Kukunna Wurraweena, the artist's first major solo institutional exhibition. IMA will announce the recipient of our 2027 project in November 2026.

Past artists supported by the Commissioners Circle include Joel Sherwood-Spring (2025), Jean Barth (2024), Daniel Boyd (2023), Gordon Hookey (2022), Yhonnie Scarce (2021), Khadim Ali (2020), and Ross Manning (2017).

Your contribution can be made annually or monthly, and can be cancelled at any time.

Thank you to our 2026 Commissioners
