iEmergence Philippines Earthquake Relief Effort
"It was about nine in the morning, October 31 and I was sitting on a toilet bowl; when I heard blasts of shattered glasses, and people outside screaming. The comfort room's light shut-off, it was dark, and I felt like I was inside a blender. I couldn't even stand up. I was just composed. I knew it was the strongest among the three massive earthquakes that had happened within the last 2 weeks of October in my hometown."
This was written by Melchor Bayawan, an Obo Manobo from one of the areas most affected by the recent series of earthquakes in the Philippines.. He has been a good friend and partner of iEmergence since 2009.
In the aftermath of the devastating series of earthquakes in the Philippines these past weeks, iEmergence has been working diligently with our partner communities to support the challenging task of rebuilding homes and lives. In addition to your prayers and regular giving, please consider supporting the iEmergence staff in these efforts. We estimate $25,000 would support 6 months of work with their communities. Would you help?
