Morocco Appeal

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake has hit Morocco killing and injuring hundreds of people.

It has also caused damages to ancient buildings, and sending terrified residents fleeing their homes into the streets for safety.

The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland has now launched an emergency appeal in order to raise funds in aid of the people affected by the earthquake and who are in dire need of all sorts of support.

Libya Appeal

Due to the unfortunate calamity and the size of damages and loss of lives the recent flooding in Libya has caused we have now decided to include Libya Emergency in our Morocco Earthquake emergency appeal. Donations received from now on will be split between Libya and Morocco. Please continue your kind support and remember that your donations will potentially save lives of those who are injured or are still under the rubble.

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: 

من نفس عن مؤمن كربة من كرب الدنيا نفس الله عنه كربة من كرب يوم القيامة ومن يسر على معسر يسر الله عليه في الدنيا والآخرة ومن ستر مسلماً ستره الله في الدنيا والآخرة والله في عون العبد ماكان العبد في عون أخيه"

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “whoever relieves a believer from one of the hardships of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever makes it easy for the one who is indebted to him, Allah will make it easy for him in this worldly life and in the Hereafter, 

وقال عليه الصلاة والسلام أيضاً: مثل المؤمنين في توادهم وتراحمهم وتعاطفهم كمثل الجسد الواحد إذا اشتكى منه عضو تداعى سائر الجسد بالسهر والحمى"

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever. "
