We serve the community by providing the following programs:

Black Trans Empowerment Week
A space to celebrate all things Black & Trans
Black Trans Empowerment Week celebrates the life, legacy, and love of Black Trans people, specifically Black Women of Trans Experience. At this moment, transgender women of color are living in crisis, more than 150 transgender people have been killed in the United States, nearly all of them Black Wome of Trans Experience. The Trans Empowerment and Alliance Party served as a celebration towards healing, honoring, and sustaining ourselves during BTEW.
During this time, we honor three individuals (or agency) with the following awards ‘The Chyna Gibson Community Advocate Man of the Year’, ‘The Chyna Gibson Woman of The Year’ and ‘The Freda McFarland Community Ally of The Year Award’. This event is held in observation Transgender Day of Remembrance.

The Body Beautiful
Reclaiming the value of your body!
The Body Beautiful is a photo campaign promoting healthy body imagery and self-love among Black and Latinx gay and bisexual men, other SGL men of color, people of the trans experience, and Black women in Texas. Tastefully revealing photos will be created and paired with messaging highlighting the importance of self-love. This campaign will highlight that body types come in a variety of shapes and sizes and will focus on decreasing HIV acquisition by improving self-efficacy and increasing self-worth.

Transparency
A candid dinner focused on what healthcare explanation and service connection.
Our annual health & wellness recourse dinner focused on connecting people of Transgender, Nonbinary and Gender Nonconforming experience to direct service across the health and wellness spectrum while featuring identifying individuals to speak candidly about how we can expand service to meet the needs of their community. This event is held in observation of National HIV Testing Day.
My Siblings Keeper
Because sometimes it’s hard being your own CHAMPION!
For many transgenders, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming people, as well as people living with HIV and people seeking mental wellness, often time experience stigma, anxiety, loneliness and the burden of being the experts on their own health while attending doctors, as well as other health appointments. Individuals from our team of Siblings will also accompany folx in need, to testing and linkage appointments as well.
Your donation allows us to sustain, develop, implement and cultivate quality programming for TLGB+ People of Color.
It also helps us develop trainings, documentaries, and further our outreach programs targeting youth and Black Women. A donation of any amount helps and we would love for you to support us monthly as well. We have an ambitious agenda that supports the needs of all members within our communities, we hope not only will you donate to our cause, but you will also become a Super Fan by becoming a monthly donor.
