The account of cruelty takes your breath away. That young people were viewers to the horrific exhibitions was a further crime. Exposure to such cruelty does desensitize one, without even realizing it, or how deep it goes. It leads to becoming desensitized to cruelty toward people, most especially toward the vulnerable.
