Horizons is an award-winning national network of transformational, community-centered education programs which provide exciting learning environments outside of the traditional school year on independent school (such as HIES) and university campuses across the U.S.
Your donation to Horizons at HIES supports over 200 economically disadvantaged students from our Sandy Springs community; these students will spend their summer immersed in high quality academic, art, swimming, and cultural enrichment opportunities - a combination which has been confirmed by extensive research to be the most effective approach for summer learning programs addressing the achievement gap.
The need is great. Horizons at HIES is funded almost entirely though private philanthropy, and we are extremely grateful to all who contribute in any way toward our mission.
