We had never met a rabbit more in need of sanctuary than Minka, our "strong-willed warrior."

Arriving to us depressed and parasite ridden, we were uncertain if this sweet girl would even survive. Through collaboration with our veterinarian, we learned that Minka had crossed THREE states before coming to us. Pieces of her story are blurred and uncertain as if her existence were irrelevant. 

Here at the Blue Barn, however, Minka's life matters and  she is now healthy and HOME.

While Minka is deaf, partially/mostly blind, has chronic arthritis and eye disorders,   she has embraced the Blue Barn as home and is currently thriving.  She has gained weight, gets meds to ease her aches and pains and enjoys regular warm compresses to soothe her beautiful blue eyes. She seeks love and affection every chance she gets and everyone who meets her falls in love. 

We are hoping her new bunny roommate, Sir William Blackberry, will love her as much as we do.
