Goal
Introducing HoardingUK's groundbreaking new project which, if successful, could pave the way for a new approach to Hoarding within the local authority and via The Care Act 2014.
On average, councils spend £45,000 on each and every hoarded property through a combination of blitz clearing, legal fees and property maintenence. Of course, none of this money goes towards the person affected who is often left bereft and continues hoarding.
Our person-centered approach provides wraparound support to the person hoarding to build back their wellbeing and create a safe living space. Moreover, our method is structured to maintain their home long term and avoid a relapse of hoarding behaviour. The average cost is £3,000 per participant - 100% of which goes towards helping the individual.
By making a donation you are supporting this initiative and we will ringfence any funds raised for the Healthy Homes Project.
