Goal
Since first discovering my passion for the outdoors in 2018, it has provided me with a sense of fulfillment and joy that I cannot describe. Being in such close proximity to these amazing lands, the rich history of the Catskill mountains has created a new appreciation for the space around us.
Now more than ever, we need to work to protect and support these peaks, valleys and trails for generations to come.
My close friends Moe and Lars introduced me to this amazing park in 2018 & 2019. Since then, I have come to appreciate the beauty of all 600,000 acres.
Seeing the dedication and passion Moe to protect these lands has driven me to adopt these important Leave No Trace principals and routinely incorporate them in to not only my time in the outdoors, but my everyday life.
Since moving closer to the park this year, I have adopted the Catskill Park as my happy place and my back yard. Seeing the influx of visitors coming from all over the East Coast to experience the beauty and history of these lands, it worries me that this delicate resource of our is in possible danger.
To support my fundraising attempt, I will be creating the personal goal of re-hiking all of the Catskill 3500 peaks in an attempt to bring awareness to this special landscape while educating everyone on Leave No Trace Principals.
