Goal

To raise money for the Catskills I’ll be exploring a new-to-me wilderness as far from home as the park’s boundaries allow.

I’ll spend three days hiking, camping, fishing and sitting in silence.

Please consider donating if you love the Catskills and want to see continuous improvement to hiking trails, waterways, lean-tos and parking areas.

Hike for the Catskills is an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the Catskills while helping to protect critical Catskills habitats, keep our land and waters wild (even at the most popular hiking destinations), and advocate for our communities and the Catskill Park.

This month-long event is meant for everyone! From complete beginners to expert-level hikers, all are welcome to register. Choose your own hiking goal based on your experience and availability. The Catskill Center will host a variety of hiking events throughout the month all over the Catskills region. There will be a kick-off event on Saturday, August 13 with a guided hike and an after-party at West Kill Brewing. We will close out the month-long event with a thank-you celebration and awards ceremony with gifts and prizes at our Catskills Visitor Center.
