Goal
Update: I made my initial goal of $250.00 in two days, thanks to two donors. Amazing!!! Thank you!!! So, I set a new goal of $350.00 to see if we can raise a little more together.
I am so afraid of climbing towers. But if you help me reach this next goal, I will climb one of the towers for you—and will send photo / video receipts!
Original Note
I'm participating in Hike for the Catskills for so many reasons.
The area is full of wonder. It offers challenge, escape, a space to breathe. I'll normally hike as often as I can, so why wouldn't I jump at the chance to explore more of the area while raising money to protect critical Catskills habitats, keep our land and waters wild (even at the most popular hiking destinations), and advocate for our communities and the Catskill Park?
It's a month-long event and I hope you'll help support the area by supporting me. I am hoping to raise $250.00. I can feel good about myself, the future of the area, AND get a groovy shirt if I reach the goal.
The Catskill Center's goal is to raise $15,000 to help protect and preserve the Catskills. All proceeds go toward advancing the work of the Catskill Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 23-7058142). Your contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
If you want to register, too, please do! Choose your own hiking goal based on your experience and availability. The Catskill Center will host a variety of hiking events throughout the month all over the Catskills region. There will be a kick-off event with a guided hike and an after-party at West Kill Brewing. (Yum!!) And they'll close out the event with a celebration at the Catskills Visitor Center.
