The Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield (CT) County (HFFC) has the motto "Compassion and Reason." In keeping with our motto, we engage in a variety of charitable activities. Your donation will help us maintain and expand these compassionate activities. You may choose to donate to any of these activities:
- Hospital Workers Appreciation. Hospital workers are real heroes in this time of pandemic. Their tireless efforts are providing comfort, and treatment to many patients. They are saving many lives. HFFC wants to let these people know that humanists care about them. We are expressing our appreciation in several ways. Among these is providing food near their work stations for the workers who sometimes don't even have time to leave their work areas and go eat.
- Stamford Interfaith Refugee Settlement (SIRS). SIRS works with Integrated Refugee Services (IRIS) as a co-sponsor to settle refugee families in Stamford and to help them become self-sufficient.
- HFFC Social Action Committee General Fund. The Social Action Committee supports members to be active and show compassion in our communities. The committee also donates to local charities in support of humanistic ideals.
- HFFC Programs and activities. HFFC incurs expenses to provide programs and activities to meet the interests and needs of its members.
