This donation is in honor of Meredith Hertzler and all that she does for HSWZ and her beautiful kindness to the Harrahs this past weekend. This donation is also in memory of our friend, Dr. Tracey Koogler of Chicago. Tracy was a doctor and professor of pediatrics. She specialized in the pediatric burn unit and ethics. She was an active member of the Pediatric Research in Medical Ethics. When she learned of our daughter’s transition, she called to get our input in regards to gender affirming care for children and youth. Because of her concern for serving her young patients with the utmost respect and care, Mike and I are making this donation in her memory.
