Reclaiming Her Story: Building a Stronger St. Louis Together

On July 29, we celebrate Saint Martha's Day and recognize the impact Saint Martha's has had on our region for more than four decades. Every day, Saint Martha's helps make the St. Louis community stronger by providing safety, support, and resources to women and children impacted by domestic violence.

Domestic violence exists in every community. It affects people across all backgrounds, neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and faith traditions. The women and children served by Saint Martha's are not strangers—they are our neighbors, our colleagues, our friends, and members of our community.

Every woman who comes to Saint Martha's has a story.

She has faced challenges most of us can barely imagine. She has made the courageous decision to leave a violent relationship, often the most dangerous and uncertain point in her journey. Feeling scared, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn, she reaches out seeking safety, stability, and the chance to create a better future for herself and her children.

Her story is one of resilience, strength, and determination.

Through Saint Martha's shelter, drop-in center, advocacy services, and supportive programs, women and children gain access to the resources they need to heal, rebuild, and move forward. Just as important, they find a community that believes in them and stands beside them every step of the way.

This work is only possible because of a broad network of supporters—staff, volunteers, board members, donors, community partners, and advocates—who are committed to creating a safer and healthier St. Louis for everyone.

Today, we invite you to be part of that impact.

Your gift helps provide shelter, safety,

advocacy, and ongoing support to women and children right here in our community.

Together, we can help families find hope, reclaim their independence, and build lives free from violence.

Give today and help ensure that every woman who reaches out to Saint Martha's finds the support, dignity, and opportunity she deserves.
