As many as 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence in their lifetime. 1 in 4!

The next time you are with your co-workers, friends or family, look around. Think about what 1 in 4 looks like.

Maybe it's your niece, a young stay-at-home mom with two preschool kids. Or your co-worker, who comes to work every day and looks so put together, you'd never guess what her home life is like. Or your daughter, who lives in another town and is becoming more isolated each day by a controlling boyfriend.

Saint Martha's Hall gives these women and children an immediate place to take solace. Not only that, but it also provides them with resources (shelter, counseling, food, support, and more) to turn their lives around. I have been honored to serve on the board of directors over the last few years and see firsthand how this organization is making life better for the women and children they serve and makes St. Louis a better place.
