Goal

We're chuffed to bits to announce a grand fundraising appeal to support a reet proper education offering - 'Discovering Our Village', and we need tha help!

Our local history is as rich as a well-stuffed butty, and none more so than t'story of t'Cragg Vale Coiners. These crafty tykes, led by 'King' David Hartley, were famed for their coin-clipping capers back in t'18th century. They were a dab hand at making a bit o' brass by snipping away at gold coins and creating new ones from t'shavings – talk about a mucky business! But let's not forget, these lads and lasses were just trying to make ends meet in hard times.

Now, we're not suggesting tha gets involved in any dodgy dealings – far from it! We're all about doing things above board and for t'good of t'community. That's why we're raising funds to give our young'uns t'education they deserve, so they don't have to turn to such desperate measures.

Every penny will go towards helping them to be reyt clever clogs, ready to take on t'world without having to clip coins or tread on dodgy ground.

Let's pull together like a proper Yorkshire family and chip in. Whether it's a few quid or a hefty sum, every bit helps. And remember, it's for t'wee ones – they're t'future coiners of knowledge, not just brass!

Ta very much for tha support. Together, we'll make sure our bairns are set for a bright future, as shiny as a new-minted guinea.

If tha's gaggin' to contribute or wants more info, just give us a shout. We're always here for a good natter about how tha can help out. And if tha's got a bit more time on tha hands, why not volunteer? We're always on t'lookout for folks who can lend a hand or share their know-how.
