Help Vanilla Fight Cancer

Vanilla was born into the rescue when his mother, Sundae, faced euthanasia after experiencing a birth complication dystocia leaving her unborn babies trapped with in her body + her life at risk. Sky Sanctuary just couldn't let their lives end with out a chance so we took over their care + moved into emergency surgery. Later that night, Vanilla was born. 

Vanilla had the perfect puppyhood. Happy, loving + was growing to be so big! At about four weeks old, one of our volunteers noticed a marble sized lump on the side of Vanilla's ribs. Unforunately, it continued to grow rapidly which prompted us to bring Vanilla to the veterinary oncologist. We have done a CT Scan, an aspiration, surgical biopsy + sought advice from multiple specialists and though we haven't been able to determine what type, Doctor's firmly believe this is a cancer + needs to be removed immediately to save his life. 

To be honest, we are rattled to the core that we have to fight cancer in a now 10 week old puppy. But, this wonderful perfectly imperfect puppy deserves a fighting chance. At this time, Vanilla is unaffected by his mass BUT we know that could change at a moments notice and suffering is something we will not stand for. We need to proceed with surgery ASAP. Boarded veterinary surgeon Dr. Bianca Alva will be taking Vanilla into surgery monday. This surgery is a BIG DEAL. The surgeon will need to carefully extract the mass then resect the three ribs that the mass is adhered to or effecting-- estimate for procedure + hospitalization attached below. 

It would mean the world to Vanilla + all who love him to have your support in this. I know it is expensive, but he is worth it.
