Campaign Goal: Support the vision to equip underprivileged children and youth in rural Zimbabwe with digital skills, helping them build a brighter future in today’s technology-driven world.

Campaign Details:

In rural Zimbabwe, countless young people grow up with limited access to technology. Most have never touched a computer, let alone imagined a future in tech. The digital world is completely out of reach for these children, leaving them at a significant disadvantage in today’s fast-paced, tech-driven world. Without intervention, these talented young minds risk being left behind in the global economy, limiting their prospects and opportunities. 

Free Code Africa is on a mission to change this. We are a grassroots initiative committed to providing children in rural Zimbabwe with free access to digital skills and tech knowledge. By setting up computer labs in old cargo containers repurposed as fully functioning learning centers, we aim to create spaces where these young people can discover the digital world. Our labs are solar-powered, sustainable, and strategically placed in schools, community centers, and growth points, ensuring that they reach even the most remote communities.

Our Goal:

This campaign seeks to raise funds to purchase computers, educational materials, and solar equipment. Additionally, we need support to train local volunteers as tech tutors, ensuring the sustainability and reach of Free Code Africa. Our goal is to impact 1,500 students in our first year, giving them tools and skills to reshape their futures and contribute to Zimbabwe’s digital transformation.
