Help Us Fight For Your Privacy Against FISA Abuse
The Project for Privacy and Surveillance Accountability is fighting for our rights, a task made all the more urgent by the recent revelations of high-level surveillance abuse by the U.S. government.
The federal government asserts a right to see our personal information held by businesses, whether medical records, genetic tests, or video captured on home security systems. It is likely access they access whatever Amazon’s Alexa or Apple’s Siri overhears.
These broad powers are authorized under Section 215, first passed as part of the U.S. Patriot Act. Some in Congress and the intelligence communities now want to pass a “clean” reauthorization of Section 215 – which may sound good, but really means passage without reforms or changes.
We are working with other civil liberties organizations, experts and Members of Congress to reform surveillance authorities by putting constitutional guardrails in the law. The deadline for Section 215 reauthorization is March 15.
But the success of our work depends on the support of concerned citizens like you.
Join our efforts to encourage Congress to pass a reform measure and reject a “clean” reauthorization of Section 215:

ACTION NEEDED NOW: To bring federal surveillance programs under the Constitution, contact your U.S. House member and tell them you OPPOSE “clean” reauthorization of Section 215. This is the most urgent and important upcoming matter surrounding our constitutional and privacy rights in the United States.
