Help Us Build a Safe Haven for 300 Rescue Dogs

''Every dog deserves a safe place to call home''

At Bronx Familia Animal Shelter, over 300 dogs who were once abandoned, neglected, or abused have finally found safety. Behind it all is Nikos, who gave up everything to dedicate his life to the strays of Crete. For years, he has poured his heart into building a place where dogs could heal, play, and learn to trust again.

But we face a serious challenge. In 2020, heavy rains caused the nearby river to overflow and flood part of our shelter. It was terrifying—the dogs were confused, scared, and some lost the only home they had ever known. We rebuilt, but the fear of another flood has never left us.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to buy new land, away from the danger zone. Now it is finally time to move our dogs there and give them the future they deserve. But to do this, we need your help.

💗 Our goal is to raise €12,000, which will allow us to:

    •    Build at least 10 large kennels (€800 each), where groups of dogs can live safely and comfortably.

    •    Provide dog houses (€130 each) to give shelter and warmth.

    •    Create play areas, not just on the new land, but also across the shelter, so every dog can experience the joy of running freely and playing without fear.

Every euro will go directly into building a safer home for these dogs. For them, it’s not just wood and fencing—it’s peace of mind, comfort, and the feeling of safety they’ve never known before.

With your help, we can finally move dogs away from the river and into a true sanctuary. Together, we can make sure that no storm, no flood, no fear will ever threaten them again.
