Help Torvi Heal

Torvi was found lying in the dirt on an old mattress while her body was breaking down.

Her skin was cracked and bleeding. Large patches of fur were gone from severe mange and infection. She was painfully thin and clearly suffering.

She has now received emergency veterinary care, including a blood transfusion, and is currently undergoing treatment.

Torvi is hospitalized, receiving fluids, medication, and ongoing care for her skin. She has also required multiple medicated baths to help treat the severe infection and mange affecting her entire body.

The difference already is night and day.
The painful crust that covered her skin is gone, her fur is beginning to grow back, and she is finally starting to look like a dog again.

But she is not out of the woods.

Torvi still has a long road ahead. She remains weak and will require continued treatment, monitoring, and testing for conditions commonly seen in dogs who have lived outdoors without care, including tick-borne diseases and heartworm.

Right now, our focus is giving her the time and medical support her body needs to continue healing.
