Circle’s upcoming fall performance, LUMINOUS, is an exciting and greatly anticipated follow up to BLOOM, our hugely successful* Spring 2022 event at the Stone Ridge Orchard. Together, this second offering of hope and healing completes a story of life's most essential cycles of birth and death. Shared with great beauty, depth, and hope, Circle's events inspire local creatives to share their talents and join together with others in the community to help revive a sense of deeper connection and create "life changing!" immersive and unforgettable experiences.

LUMINOUS will take guests into the cavernous heart of the Earth through contemplative story. It reminds us that even in the coldest, darkest times we are held by beauty and that each of us can be a light in the dark. We will offer two consecutive evenings to ponder and honor the importance that death, grief, and the dark carry…for there is no day without night.
What defines *success?
BLOOM, our last performance, was indeed "sold out;" we drew more than 1000 guests over two Saturdays, and we turned away many hundreds more. In terms of impact—easily measured by attendance and endless gushing feedback from guests as well as performers—BLOOM has had lasting positive impact and was an undeniable "success." And hundreds of those same performers and attendees have since reached out excitedly these past few months requesting our follow up offering.
The truth is, more than half the attendees requested discounted or free tickets to BLOOM though because they said they could not afford the $42 ticket price. Since we wanted that offering to be accessible to all, we turned no one away for lack of funds, which obviously affected our success financially too. Meanwhile, our core team of three worked some 1800 hours to create BLOOM's event without compensation, and our most of our performers and on-site support donated their time and talent.

We created BLOOM, the lush visual and heartfelt feast that it was, without any significant private donations or grants large enough to cover the expenses of such programming. The event was only possible because of the generosity of our incredible Hudson Valley performers and friends who believed in the project enough to participate even without compensation. And even still, Circle Creative Collective, our team which conceived, directed, produced and promoted this event all in-house, lost more than $5000. Here's the final budget below.
WE NEED TO YOUR HELP THIS TIME!
For our upcoming event, LUMINOUS, we have committed to offering an exchange of $100- at minimum- per night to each of the 50+ performers, no matter what! And we would surely love your support. We are a small, budding, and under-funded non-profit though and we NEED YOUR HELP to make this goal possible.
LUMINOUS will take place on October 29th & 30th, just before Halloween, Día de Muertos, All Souls' Day, and Samhain marking the end of the regenerative warmer seasons and the approach of winter’s stillness. This liminal doorway recognizes the thinning of the veil between worlds, the essential lessons of impermanence, and the gifts of the dark. LUMINOUS takes you into the cavernous heart of the Earth through contemplative story. Reminding us that even in the coldest, darkest times we are held by beauty, that we are magic, and that each of us can be a light in the dark. We will offer two consecutive evenings to ponder and honor the importance that death, grief, and the dark carry…for there is no day without night.
LUMINOUS is a celebration of the thinning of the veil, honoring our ancestors, the beloved departed, a balm to bring meaning to these months of introspection.
