Help Send Sunshine to Seniors in Canada!

Founded by four friends, Sending Sunshine is a registered charity that seeks to provide a ray of happiness in the lives of the elderly living in Canadian care facilities. Sending Sunshine collects cards containing uplifting handwritten messages written by people in Canada and beyond. Your cards are delivered to various care facilities, where they are ultimately distributed to the residents. By receiving a handmade card, it is our hope that senior citizens will experience more joy and love in their everyday lives.

Active since 2020, Sending Sunshine operates 100% through the work of unpaid volunteers. Our main expense is the shipping cost to mail cards to our senior recipients. To date, we have delivered over 204,000 cards. However, we need funds and support to continue to send these cards, and to finance our dream of expanding our initiative internationally.

Your donation will directly help us send uplifting cards to isolated senior citizens across Canada.

Thank you!

I enjoy taking time out of my day to write cards because it warms my heart knowing that we take care of our senior friends and family. What sending sunshine does is truly amazing and I can’t wait to continue helping further in the future
