HERE’S A BRIEF HISTORY OF JAMES' PHOTOGRAPHIC JOURNEY

It all started in November 2012 when I applied and was accepted into a 3 day class with world-renowned wedding photographer, Jared Platt in Seattle, WA on CreativeLIVE.  That course inspired me to begin taking photography seriously.

I have since taken classes from John Greengo, John Cornicello, Chip Wiener, Sue Bryce, among other high profile photographers.  I've participated in photowalks around town.  As you can see, my education is quite expansive!

After starting James Geiger Photography, I had the pleasure of photographing local concerts, portraits, theatre performances, and other types of events.

I teamed up with Art2Action countless times, documenting live events throughout the years, such as the R&R Festival (check out this page for samples of my work)! I am also Art2Action's website designer, and am developing my own website design business, Geiger Designs.

A few years ago, I had to sell my gear in order to make ends meet.

FOR MY 36TH BIRTHDAY…

I want to get back into the game! It's time to return to my love of photography, to develop my art and professional practice. I'm asking YOU to help make my birthday dreams come true!

I’m seeking to get an intermediate mirrorless camera, the Nikon Z50 w/ 2 kit lenses, as well as a 50 mm PRIME lens for portraits. I’ll also need extra batteries, camera bag, lens adapter mount to allow me to restart my photography.

The extra will give me room for accessories on other necessities I might need to properly get back on my feet.

Jared Platt once said, "Being a photographer is not about taking a photograph, it is about being curious about life."  I can't wait to be able to be curious again, and begin sharing my photographic eye with a broader public!
