My name is Kai Jones, and my good mate Jack has been fighting cancer since October 2022. He was a great sportsman playing grade cricket for Randwick Petersham and soccer for Maroubra United.
Unfortunately he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) last year. Sarcoma accounts for 20% of cancers diagnosed in childhood, making it one of the most common cancers in children but unfortunately receives less than 1% of funding from government.
During these tough times Jack has undergone surgeries and chemotherapy. He has a long road to recovery ahead with at least a year of rehabilitation. Jack has been so strong and courageous and I want to help him on his journey.
During this time, Jack’s Mum Mandy, has had to stop work to take care of him. Surgeries to save his leg and insert a knee/femur prosthesis plus a long rehabilitation are expensive and not fully covered by Medicare or insurance.
To hear from Jack about his journey please go to his recent radio interview

I hope you can support Jack and his family through this very difficult time, and through the time ahead, by alleviating some of the financial burden.
Thank you
Kai
