Help "I Love Goa Dogs"
Dear friends and family all around the world,
as many of you know, I’m staying in Goa (India) over the winter and helping different organisations like a slum school project in Vasco da Gama (Goa) or a my heart project for the stray dogs in Arambol, where I’m living right now.
In all my free time, I’m volunteering for “I Love Goa Dogs”, a private nonprofit organisation, founded by the heart of this project, Rani. 10 years ago, it all started with one dog that she helped and has now evolved in a full time (and full season) job for her and her volunteers.
Our work consists out of medicinal treatments, sterilisation, feeding, rescuing and rehoming (orphans). In detail, we are feeding starving stray dogs in the Arambol area, giving treatments for puppies (vaccinations, deworming etc.), taking dogs to sterilisation if possible, treating wounded and injured dogs and trying to find loving homes for the abandoned orphan animals.
Although we are doing as much as we can, sometimes it looks like a work without end.
As well, our organisation is 100% based on volunteers and donations only.
In fact, medical treatments, sterilisation and food are comparably cheap in India, but still the amount of animals in need is very high. One sterilisation round of the vets track from the WVS (Worldwide Veterinary Service) costs about 1.000 Rupies (12 €) for all dogs in one day, so that means that even the smallest donation already helps a lot!
If you have even just a little bit to share, you can already make a big difference for the animals of Arambol.
Thank you so much!
Wishing all my friends and family a beautiful and merry Christmas and the most amazing year 2020!
Big hug from Goa,
yours Carina!
