Let's help Yolanda, her five kids, and Churro the pup reunite with Dad

We've changed the family's names to keep them safe, but their story is real.

We are asking for support to fly a mom, her 5 kids, and their dog, to reunite with the father that has been deported to Honduras.

Yolanda is from Guatemala and has lived in the US for 16 years. While here, she met Octavio, originally from Honduras and who had been in the country for 11 years. Together, they built a family in Utah and raised five kids, now ages 1 to 13.

Then ICE took Octavio. He was held in custody for more than three months before being deported back to Honduras. Overnight, Yolanda was left to care for all five children alone, including her one-year old baby. The kids went from seeing their dad every day to not knowing when they’d see him again.

The kids and ChurroOctavio was the family’s sole bread winner. Now Yolanda carries the whole weight by herself, raising five young kinds under the kind of emotional and financial strain that would break most of us. 

Yolanda and her children want one thing: to be a whole family again with Octavio. That means starting over in Honduras, a country none of the kids have ever set foot in. All five were born here. They want to bring Churro too, their two-year-old Queensland Heeler, who has grown up with the kids and is as much part of the family as anyone.

Churro needs help to see dad again

Ayudemos a Yolanda, sus cinco hijos y a Churro a reunirse con su papá

Hemos cambiado los nombres de la familia para protegerlos, pero esta historia es real.

Estamos pidiendo apoyo para una madre, sus 5 hijos y su perrito, para reunirlos con el padre que ha sido deportado a Honduras. 

Yolanda es de Guatemala y ha vivido en los Estado Unidos por 16 años. Durante ese tiempo, conoció a Octavio, originario de Honduras y quien llevaba 11 años en el país. Juntos construyeron una familia en Utah y criaron a cinco hijos, que hoy tienen entre 1 y 13 años. 

Recientemente, la Migra se llevó a Octavio.  El estuvo detenido por más de tres meses antes de ser deportado a Honduras. Y fue así que Yolanda quedó sola a cargo de sus 5 hijos, incluyendo su bebé de un año. Los niños pasaron de ver a su papá todos los días a no saber cuándo lo volverían a ver.

Octavio era el único sostén de la familia. Ahora Yolanda carga con todo ella sola, criando a cinco niños pequeños bajo un peso emocional y económico que quebraría a la mayoría de nosotros.

Yolanda y sus pequeños quieren una sola cosa: volver a ser familia completa junto a Octavio. Eso significa empezar de nuevo en Honduras, un país que ninguno de los niños ha pisado jamás. También quieren llevar a Churro, su canino Pastor Australiano de dos años, que ha crecido junto a los niños y es parte de la familia como cualquiera de ellos.
