Dr. Alaa and his son Jhad are trapped in the heart of Gaza’s war, facing daily danger and hardship.

After losing his wife and job as a radiologist, Dr. Alaa opened his modest shelter to care for nine orphaned children. Though his own son suffers from hunger, he continues to risk everything to provide for others. 

With famine worsening and prices soaring—even basic items like nappies costing up to £100—survival has become nearly impossible. Dr. Alaa now relies fully on donations to care for these children.
